Wrestling legend Ric Flair says he’s on the mend after a scary fall. The 77-year-old Hall of Famer was taken to a hospital on Friday, October 23, after falling outside a restaurant in Tampa, Florida, TMZ first reported. He cut his head and an eye in the fall, was treated by paramedics at the scene and spent the night in the hospital.

On Saturday, Flair posted on Instagram to thank fans for their messages and prayers and to thank the hospital staff. He shared a smiling photo with a patch over one eye and wrote, “I Will Be Okay!”

A blood clot, too

Hours before the fall, Flair told fans on social media that he has a blood clot in his leg. Because his doctors have limited his travel to three or four hours at a time, he canceled a scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con in Seattle and apologized to fans and organizers. He said he is scheduled for a procedure on the affected vein that doctors expect will let him travel more freely, and he urged people to take blood clots seriously.

It is the latest in a series of health scares for the 16-time world champion. In 2017, Flair spent weeks in intensive care, including time in a medically induced coma, after a serious intestinal rupture.
